Downtowns that have a strong housing component are more likely to be economically stable and culturally vibrant. Join Hometown Minnesota in Cloquet on Wednesday, April 25th to discuss the benefits of Main Street housing development and revitalization. Discuss the alternative to competing with malls, big boxes, and lifestyle centers to attract shoppers to Main Street, and instead bring the neighborhood to the downtown.

The program will feature Sherri Harris, of the Central Minnesota Housing Partnership, who will discuss how the Partnership has helped several communities bring people into the downtown through creating new housing and restoring the traditional housing over retail along Main Street. She will present case studies and describe the financial and technical assistance tools for making downtown housing investments.

The workshop will address questions such as:

The workshop will include small group discussion to ensure that attendees can discuss their own community's opportunities and situation.

Cost: $75.00 per workshop per community
